At the time of conceptualization of Peninsula Corporate Park, the then central business district of Nariman Point was facing a severe shortage of space. Meanwhile, we had at our disposal a large tract of land in the heart of the city in Central Mumbai, which we wished to exploit to its fullest potential. We drew up a format for an integrated corporate complex and Peninsula thus embarked on the Peninsula Corporate Park project. This made us one of the first companies to develop cotton textile mill land after it was opened up for development in Mumbai. It has taken great vision and belief to develop an office complex in a locality that was best known for lower middle class housing and closed mills.
